Teacher Professional Learning
Creative Computing Challenge Program: provides a year-long professional learning opportunity for teachers in Career & Technical Education and other high school areas who are open to:
- Critically reflecting on their practice,
- Willing to examine assumptions underlying their practices and teaching philosophies,
- Engaging in learning-centered curriculum, and
- Engaging students through peer collaboration, problem solving and project-based learning.
Creative Computing Challenge Program: prepares teachers to develop and integrate a rigorous and engaging computing curriculum into their already on-going classes and to teach this curriculum to their own diverse student population.
Using a community-centered or ecosystem approach to engage students in the potential of computational thinking to solve problems that have local and personal relevance for them, students will learn to apply computing content and practices to real-world situations by developing their own mobile applications.
